SK8EVL Raises $2,500 for Skatepark in Ellicottville

SK8EVL raffled off a pair of skis and a snowboard during the Bad Ski Suit Party held Saturday, February 29th at Madigan’s, raising $2,500 for the Ellicottville Skatepark Fund. Jeff Andreano won the Elan Ripstick 86 skis donated by Mud, Sweat n’ Gears, and Ryan Peterson won the commemorative Crown Royal snowboard donated by Doug Anderson.

Ellicottville Times: Fund to bring skate park to Ellicottville established, meetings in the works

The goal to construct a skate park in Ellicottville is about more than just skateboarding, added Brenda Perks. “The skate park will provide a safe, designated place for skateboarders, rollerbladers, BMXers and scooters. It will encourage kids and adults of all ages to get outside and be active,” she said. “Whether you’re an experienced skateboarder or you want to learn, the facility will be open to everyone to use, and at no charge.”
